She said there is a rule which the fashion designer never wear their own works in their life, but in this case, she willing to do it when I asked her to collaborate with my personal project.At the same time, she told me the story about her father escaped from Balkan war to Italy in the 90s, before she was born in Italy. 

This design shows the history of the Albania refugees, how did they escape from Albania to Italy or Greece, how did her parents live in that toughest ages.She has bad experiences that sometimes the Italian doubt her identity because her name is not from Italy.She has proper Italian accent, born in North of Italy, grew up in Italy and has Italian soul. In my mind, she is an Italian with Albania blood, I never doubt where is she from.Gentjana, a beautiful name from Albania, which means flower.

I remember when I met her in the first time in Tod’s store, she had a long black hair, big eyes and beautiful eyebrows.She told me her name is Gentjana, study fashion design in Central Saint Martins.I spoke many times trying to pronounce right way. “It’s Latin name, from Albania.” She said. “What a beautiful name.”I told myself.This is the beginning of our friendship. It’s already passed one year, and I feel we just met yesterday.
